Swaps and KALS

I am a addicted to KALS and Swaps. I am unable to stop myself from joining. I am sure that this happens to most knitters when they first discover that they can join groups of on-line knitters, gab about their knitting and stash, and send and receive wonderful surprise knitting packages from folks that truly understand your fiber/yarn/knitting obsession.

Now, having said that, there is my list of new KALS and swaps:

I'm back for round two of the Hogwarts Sock Kit Swap 2! I loved the first so of course I'm in for the second. Please see the button on the left for the link.

I also joined the Sock it to Me Swap. Should be a great deal of fun!

I then joined the Jaywalkers KAL - yes! I love this pattern and as the proud owner of one beautiful "too small to fit on anyone in my family's foot" Jaywalker sock I am happy to find a group to bounce ideas/concerns off of.

Oh...and I joined the Yarn Pirate Booty Club. Yar!

HSKS Owl Arrived & A New Swap

Here it is! The wonderful swap goodies from my HSKS pal Lisa. I will let the photos tell the story:

The yarn is amazing - Morehouse Merino - I have been looking at it for some time and what a luck gal I am to get some in a swap! The yarn is so soft and lovely! The bag that Lisa made is really great - love that each side is different. Needles and stitch markers just perfect as well. Wonderful smelling soaps, great HP candy, a dress up sheep, a keychain, foot measurer, and BBQ sauce and rub. Truly fab! The boys and I and husband tried the Bertie Botts. Wow! We tried them all - except for Vomit (not in the box) and Sausage (I'm a vegitarian so that was a no go for me) Boy do they taste like rotten eggs. Made me feel sick for the rest of the night! Had to chase them with some Jelly Slugs! Lisa, thanks for the thoughtful gifts and fun memories of my boys eating earthworm flavored candy - it was great!

In other news, I joined another swap. More on this to come. And I joined HSKS round 2.

Well, that's all. Somebody's diaper needs a change.

FOPalooza Part Deux

Behold, 6 finished sewn handbags! I made these for a good friend to give as end of year teacher gifts. I think they turned out OK. I love making them because I don't have to iron too much!

And, here are my finished Charmed Knits KAL House Hats!

I will send these to Warm Woolies tomorrow. Now on to hats for the Loopy Challange!

Oh...and that second Slytherin sock for my Hogwarts Sock Swap pal. I think somebody sould start a Dobby Sock Exchange. If I had the time and experience I would.
